Lake Washington School District (LWSD) is the third largest school district in Washington State. The district’s 52 schools previously had a variety of security systems installed. LONG standardized LWSD on S2 access control and Bosh intrusion alarm systems and implemented a plan to successfully retrofit 28 schools in five months. Now each school includes an S2 NetBox Extreme controller and S2 Network Nodes, all centrally managed by S2 Global. LWSD and LONG are currently exploring the next phase of standardization to reduce operational costs and produce a return on investment in four to five years.
