Building Solutions for K-12 Schools

What does it take to provide K-12 schools with building solutions that meet their needs?  It takes a company with a team of skilled professionals working together to make sure that every aspect of building equipment and controls work together to seamlessly provide a building that meets or exceeds expectations.  This team is made up of the following players:

  • HVAC Equipment
  • BAS Controls
  • Security and Access Controls
  • Energy Upgrade Specialists
  • Training and Mechanical Services

HVAC Equipment provides the building with highly modernized equipment responsible for heating, cooling, humidification, dehumidification, and filtration necessary to meet building standards and provide the ideal environment for our teachers and students.  A room that is too hot, too cold, too noisy, or too quiet will inevitably lead to challenges for the educational environment.  Together we can work to eliminate these issues to lead to happy and healthy classrooms.

School-Exterior-Building.jpgAlthough equipment is key to the operation of K-12 campuses it is the BAS network that ties the equipment together and gives staff the ability to control the facility for comfort and energy savings.  LONG's Building Automation Team takes control of every part of your building to form one complete control structure. This means controlling the operation of units, the security systems, and in some cases the fire life safety systems of the building.  Total control of the building can be achieved on a local and remote basis allowing the front line teachers and administrators to have local control yet also allowing the district offices the ability to monitor energy consumption and security.

Who doesn’t want to save money?  Whether it is a school district being financially responsible with tax payer funds, or a private educational system every administrator is looking for ways to achieve lean operation.  Through BAS control of the building systems this can be achieved. However it is worthwhile to bring in a team of specialists to look for every opportunity, and this is where our Energy Upgrade Specialists can help.  It is their responsibility to evaluate the building, the environment, the purpose of the building, and all the building systems to look for recent industry solutions in an effort to achieve the lowest operating costs possible. education_interior_-(1).jpg

What if all these new systems aren’t something that our school employees are trained to operate?

If new systems seem daunting to your facility, we'll help put your mind at ease with our full complement of training solutions for your facility managers and operators.   We work hand in hand with our product manufacturers and specialists to provide everything from local to factory direct training in different ways that meet your needs.

With a full complement of equipment, controls, service, and training we are confident that we can work together with you to develop and implement smart solutions for you schools, ancillary buildings, and support offices. Get started today!
